Charlene established The Master's Press in 1976 when she was a young, single woman of 25. Initially mentored by her former employer, Don Brewer, she learned the value of genuine customer care. Her former partner, Dick Brooks, was also an incredible influence as he refined her education on the business side of running a printing company. Charlene has worked in every aspect of the print shop and has "ink running through her veins." She loves the business and enjoys enabling her customers to market their product in an effective manner.
To this day, Charlene continues to be active in her industry, having served on the board of directors of The National Association of Quick Printers as the Chair, and currently serving as Immediate Past Chair. She is also currently on the board of directors for the National Association for Printing Leadership(NAPL).
In the last few years, Charlene has added public speaking to her repertoire, serving several terms as the President of the Town North Trendsetters (TNT) Chapter of Toastmasters. She is increasingly in demand as a speaker for local events and groups.
Her passion these days is perfecting her golf game, for which she says she needs much more practice.
